Article: “Government acts to curb younger smokers” (Pg A1 & A4)

Questions:

1)What are some measures by the government to curb smoking?
Organize some programme or activities for teenagers. Boys Home immediately once caught, no chance. Increase fines. Lessen smoking area.

2)How successful do you think these measures would be?
Support your answer with reasons.
Very successful. Once younger teenagers knows the law, they would be afraid and won't be smoking anymore as there is no chance once caught. Lessen smoking area, adults won't be seen smoking at many places, thus not influencing them.

2) Pg 10: Drink-and-Eat MRT Riders on the rise
Reflection Question:

How do you feel about MRT commuters eating and drinking blatantly on the train?
Eating and drinking on the train would be not allowed, but bringing in is acceptable. I feel that the law now is unreasonable for people who are busy and bringing food for their family.
